10-Day Kenya Safari

Your Kenya safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport.

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and travel south toward Amboseli National Park. The park sits at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Along the way, enjoy views of the changing Kenyan countryside.

Arrive in Amboseli in time for lunch. Check in at your lodge and enjoy some time to relax.

Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive. Look out for elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and other wildlife. If weather conditions are clear, you may also enjoy beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park.

The park is famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Explore the different areas of the park while searching for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and many bird species.

A full-day safari gives you more time to explore the park at a relaxed pace. You will also have opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints and enjoy the landscape.

Return to your lodge later in the afternoon for relaxation.

After breakfast, check out and depart Amboseli for Lake Naivasha.

Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel toward the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in Naivasha in the afternoon and have lunch at the lodge.

Later, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. The lake is known for its hippos, birdlife and beautiful scenery.

You will also enjoy a guided nature walk on Crescent Island. This peaceful wildlife area offers a unique walking experience where you can observe animals such as zebras, giraffes and antelopes on foot.

Return to the resort for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya.

Enjoy scenic views along the way, including views of Mount Kenya and the agricultural landscapes of central Kenya.

Arrive in Samburu in time for lunch. Check in and relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive.

Explore the reserve as you search for wildlife and enjoy the beautiful semi-arid landscapes.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve.

Samburu is famous for its unique wildlife and beautiful landscapes. During the game drive, you may see species such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich.

You may also encounter elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes and other wildlife.

Return to the lodge around midday for lunch and a relaxing afternoon.

Later, head out for another game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Start the morning with a pre-breakfast game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out.

Depart Samburu and travel toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.

Arrive at Ol Pejeta in time for lunch. After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive.

Visit the chimpanzee sanctuary and learn about conservation efforts at the conservancy. You will also have the opportunity to see Baraka, the famous blind black rhino.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and depart Ol Pejeta for the Maasai Mara.

Enjoy an en-route game drive as you leave the conservancy. Continue toward the Maasai Mara, with lunch taken en route.

Arrive in the Maasai Mara later in the afternoon or evening. Check in at your lodge and relax after the journey.

After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch for a full-day game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Explore the open grasslands in search of Kenya’s famous wildlife. The Mara is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and many other species.

Continue toward the Mara River, where you can see hippos and crocodiles. During the Great Migration season, the river is one of the areas associated with wildebeest crossings as migrating herds move between Tanzania’s Serengeti and Kenya’s Maasai Mara.

Enjoy your picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy another full day exploring the Maasai Mara.

After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch for another game drive. Having a second full day in the reserve gives you more time to explore different areas and search for wildlife.

Your driver-guide will help you find some of the Mara’s iconic species. These may include lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.

You can also revisit the Mara River or explore other areas of the reserve depending on wildlife activity.

Enjoy your picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing the afternoon game drive.

Return to the lodge in the evening.

After breakfast, check out and prepare for your journey back to Nairobi.

If time allows, you can enjoy an optional Maasai village visit before departing the Mara area. This cultural experience provides an opportunity to learn more about Maasai traditions and daily life.

Continue your journey toward Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.
