Detailed 3-Day Maasai Mara Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara
Your 3-day Maasai Mara safari begins with a morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport.
After a short safari briefing from your Zamunda Travels representative and professional driver-guide, depart Nairobi and travel towards the Maasai Mara.
Along the way, stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, located at about 2,700 metres above sea level. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and take photos before continuing your journey.
You may also have an opportunity to see the historic Italian church along the route, depending on the day’s schedule.
Continue to the Maasai Mara and arrive in time for lunch. Check in at the lodge and enjoy some time to relax.
Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive. Explore the savannah in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other wildlife.
As the sun begins to set, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Game Drive
After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive across the Maasai Mara.
Carry a packed picnic lunch and spend the day exploring the reserve from approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Maasai Mara offers excellent opportunities to see the Big Five, as well as large herds of zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, gazelles, and other plains game.
Your driver-guide will help you search for wildlife and identify different bird species along the way.
You will also visit the Mara River, a famous wildlife area and an important part of the annual wildebeest migration between the Serengeti and Maasai Mara. The river is home to large hippos and Nile crocodiles.
Enjoy your picnic lunch in the reserve before continuing with the game drive.
In the late afternoon, begin your journey back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
Wake up early, enjoy breakfast, and check out of the lodge.
Before departing for Nairobi, you can choose to visit a Maasai village at an additional cost. This optional experience offers an opportunity to learn more about Maasai traditions, culture, and daily life.
After the visit, begin your journey back to Nairobi.
Arrive in the afternoon and receive a drop-off at your Nairobi hotel or airport.
