Detailed 4-Day Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire Safari
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your Tanzania safari begins when your Zamunda Travels driver-guide picks you up from your hotel in Arusha. You will then drive towards Tarangire National Park, one of Northern Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations.
Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and diverse landscapes. The park features open grasslands, woodland, seasonal wetlands and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout the year.
During your afternoon game drive, keep an eye out for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, eland and a wide variety of bird species. The distinctive baobab trees also provide excellent opportunities for photography.
As the afternoon progresses, you will continue exploring the park before heading to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will leave Tarangire and continue towards Serengeti National Park. Your journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Along the way, you may enjoy a scenic stop near the Ngorongoro Crater rim before continuing towards the Serengeti. As you approach the park, the landscape gradually changes into the vast open plains for which the Serengeti is famous.
The Serengeti is one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife destinations. It offers opportunities to encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and numerous predators.
Depending on your arrival time, you will enjoy an afternoon or sunset game drive around the central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera area. This region is known for its year-round wildlife and opportunities to see lions, leopards and cheetahs.

Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti Safari – Ngorongoro

Activity: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive
Wake up to the sounds of the African wilderness before setting out for a full day of exploring the central Serengeti.
Your professional driver-guide will plan the day’s game drive around recent wildlife sightings and your interests. The Seronera area offers a mixture of open plains, rocky kopjes and riverine vegetation, creating habitats for a wide variety of wildlife.
You may encounter lions resting around rocky outcrops, cheetahs hunting across open grasslands and leopards resting in trees near the river. Large herds of zebra, wildebeest and buffaloes are also common sights.
Lunch will be enjoyed during the safari at a designated picnic area before you continue exploring the park.
Later in the afternoon, you will leave the Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro highlands. You will arrive at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Route: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Your final safari day begins early with a descent into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.
The crater is one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife areas. Its enclosed ecosystem supports a high concentration of animals, making it an excellent destination for wildlife viewing.
During your crater safari, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, spotted hyenas and other wildlife. The endangered black rhino may also be seen within the crater.
The crater floor features grasslands, woodland, wetlands and Lake Magadi, creating different habitats for wildlife and birds. Your guide will choose suitable viewing areas based on wildlife activity and the day’s conditions.
After your crater experience, you will ascend to the crater rim and begin your journey back to Arusha.
Your safari ends in Arusha, where you can connect with your onward journey or extend your stay in Tanzania.
