Lake Manyara is also known for its famous tree-climbing lions, although sightings are never guaranteed.

After breakfast, set out with your driver-guide for a full-day wildlife adventure. Your route will depend on recent wildlife sightings and the season of your visit.

The Serengeti is renowned for its large populations of predators and plains game. Look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.

If your safari coincides with the Great Migration, you may also encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra moving through the ecosystem. The exact location of the herds changes throughout the year.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive.

After breakfast, leave the Serengeti and travel towards the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Your main experience today is a game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife areas.

The crater’s enclosed landscape supports a high concentration of wildlife. With some luck, you may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and the endangered black rhinoceros.

The crater floor also features grasslands, woodland, wetlands and Lake Magadi, creating a beautiful setting for wildlife viewing.

After your crater experience, ascend from the crater and continue to your lodge near Karatu.
