Arusha → Tarangire | Approx. 1.5–2 hours

Begin your safari with a game drive in Tarangire National Park. Famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, Tarangire offers excellent opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions and a variety of bird species.

Tarangire → Central Serengeti | Approx. 5–6 hours

Travel through the Ngorongoro highlands before reaching the legendary Serengeti plains.

Spend the day exploring the central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera area, known for year-round wildlife viewing.

Look for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, zebra and giraffe.

Central Serengeti → Mara River Area | Approx. 3–4 hours

Travel north into the more remote areas of the Serengeti. The journey itself becomes a game drive as you pass through changing landscapes toward the Mara River.

During the appropriate season, you may have the opportunity to witness Great Migration river-crossing activity. Sightings are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed.

Spend a full day exploring the Mara River region.

Look for hippos, crocodiles, lions, elephants, giraffes, topi, zebra and buffalo. If the migration herds are present, the area can also provide opportunities to witness dramatic river crossings.

Mara River → Central Serengeti | Approx. 3–4 hours

Begin your journey south with another game drive through the Serengeti.

Enjoy your final evening among the plains and wildlife of central Serengeti.

Serengeti → Ngorongoro | Approx. 3 hours

Travel to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the crater floor for a memorable wildlife experience.

Look for black rhino, lion, spotted hyena, elephant, flamingos, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and other wildlife.

Overnight: Foresight Eco Lodge

Karatu → Arusha → Zanzibar

After breakfast, travel back toward Arusha and connect with your flight to Zanzibar.

Arrive on the Spice Island and transfer to your beachfront accommodation in Nungwi. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach.

Day 10 – Stone Town & Spice Farm Tour

Discover the history and culture of Zanzibar with a guided Stone Town tour.

Explore the historic streets, traditional architecture, Old Fort, House of Wonders and Forodhani waterfront. Later, visit a spice farm to experience Zanzibar’s famous cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and other spices.

Enjoy a free day on the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar.

Relax, swim or choose optional activities such as snorkeling, diving or a sunset dhow cruise.
